Created for the Nowlin house in Austin, Texas, this architectural frieze features oil-gilding in genuine palladium, 21k moon gold, and 23k red gold leaf. It borrows its design elements from Edgar Brandt, French master of Art Deco ironwork. It was originally sculpted in wood and clay by Heirloom Gold Leaf Studio. Master molds and installation castings were produced by Blue Genie Art. Designed and commissioned by Fern Santini, Abode design, and Paul Lamb, Paul Lamb Architects. next portfolio |
