This frame was designed and created as
an homage to the artist and renowned
American Arts & Crafts frame-maker,
Hermann Dudley Murphy.
It features a hand-carved cap with an
original 'sea hawk' corner motif. It is
water-gilt in 22k genuine gold leaf,
burnished over blue-grey bole on the cap
and reeded sight edge, left matte over
yellow bole on the stepped panel. Finished
with a light grey wash.
